Lana Del Rey vs Peanut Hell

TOP
Lana Del Rey
Lana Del Rey is a singer/songwriter who has released the albums, Lana Del Ray, Born To Die, Born To Die: The Paradise Edition, Ultraviolence, and is going to release Honeymoon in August. Personally, I love Lana Del Rey's style of music, and her aesthetic. Lana is known for having long, pointy nails and sometimes, a beehive hairstyle. Some of my favorite songs by Ms. Lana are "Cruel World," "Ride," "Carmen," and her cover of Nina Simone's "The Other Woman." Lana Del Rey's musical style ranges from a stylized vintage sound, to a Nirvana-like 90's rocker sound, to whispering. Lana Del Rey is not the biggest musical artist, but as she grows in her music, so will her popularity.

BOTTOM
Peanut Hell
Peanut Hell, as I refer to it, is when you're done eating peanuts, but remnants of those peanuts remain in your mouth for hours. Peanut Hell can also be translated into Almond Hell, Cashew Hell, or Mixed Nut Hell. I think that Peanut Hell might be my most bottomed bottom! There is nothing I hate more than having my entire tongue encrusted with peanut crumbs. Some people may say "Kurt! You musty kid! Clean out your mouth!" I would reply by saying "Let me live," but my reasoning is, would a glass of water really clean out my mouth? Or will I be trapped in the eternal fiery abyss of Peanut Hell?

  1. Wow this rings true on so many levels. Lana is probably my spirit animal...or maybe that's Alicia...tough decision. I think some of Lana's songs have been deathly overplayed and that is really sad because they were once good, but the minute one of my Mullen h*ll classmates asks me if I have heard that song, I immediately deny it and never listen to it again. Maybe it's just my strong dislike for being mainstream...oh well. Not my problem. Also, I love Cashews (my only favorite nut because it's the "snobby" kind) but they do leave me in Cashew Hell too. It's such a hard life to live. what a time to be alive.

  2. I agree with peanut hell, which is why I no longer eat nuts. Also, Lana Del Rey is my life and your favorite songs by her are, in my opinion, the best ones she's done, especially Ride and Cruel World. She is my goddess and I'm going to her concert in May. I'm so happy you posted about her

  3. I have never experienced this strange concept of peanut hell or any kind of nut hell. Next time I eat peanuts I will be sure to observe the effects and report back. Also is Lana her real name? Is it short for anything? I'd like the deats

    1. You sure are lucky for not experiencing any kind of nut hell. Lana Del Rey's real name is Elizabeth Grant, though she usually went by Lizzy rather than her full name. Lana Del Rey is a stage name.

  4. I love Lana and a good bag of lightly salted peanuts. AGAIN Kurt your blog is causing me to choose which one I love more. I think Lana may win this one.

    1. Sarah, the bottom of this post is not a good bag of lightly salted peanuts, but the Peanut Hell that occurs after you are done enjoying your nuts.
